Truck Sealing Compliance Agreements Update

On Wednesday, U.S. Customs and Border Protection held a seminar outlining updates to the Truck Sealing Compliance Agreement, a program that has been in place since approximately 2015.
This agreement plays an important role in facilitating the movement of products from airlines to fumigation sites more efficiently, helping reduce delays within the supply chain.
Over the past two years, additional updates have been made to the process. These improvements were supported in part by the work of AFIA through the FLAG meetings held in 2024 and 2025, where industry collaboration helped refine and strengthen the program.
As of now, previous agreements with CBP have expired. New agreements must be signed and approved, and once in place, they will be valid for a period of three years.
AFIA encourages members to review their current status and ensure compliance with the updated requirements.
