AFIA is proud to share that Christine Boldt, our Executive Vice President, has been invited to testify at a congressional committee hearing next week on behalf of the cut flower industry.
The hearing, hosted by the Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission, will focus on promoting labor rights in the cut flower sector.
This hearing was initially scheduled for last month but was postponed. Importantly, the original list of speakers did not include any representation from the flower industry—a critical gap given the topic.
Christine proactively engaged with the organizers and successfully advocated for the industry’s inclusion, ensuring our voice will now be part of this important discussion.
