The proposed four-story Vertically Integrated Cargo Center (VICC) at Miami International Airport, which was in the preliminary planning phases, has been put on hold.
This project was designed to significantly expand the cargo areas at MIA in response to the growing volume of cargo arriving in Miami each year. A facility of this scale would have provided additional space and improved efficiency for international trade and logistics operations at one of the busiest cargo airports in the U.S.
While the project has been paused for now, AFIA will continue to monitor developments and provide members with timely updates as new information becomes available.
Stay tuned for further details as we learn more about the future of this importa
